I recall how my stomach was guiding my perspective on that trip, making me think that everything resembled food. From steamers of dim sum to the waterways glistening like fish yaw, I think I only walked ten minutes before stopping for something to eat or drink.

For a visitor living in another part of China it was perspective shifting, something the following sketch shows – believe it or not, it’s right-side up.
